Face Hair Removal For Women
The removal of unwanted facial hair can allow you to “put your best face forward.” Unlike other body areas, such as underarm hair removal, it's not easy to conceal facial hair. When you’re unhappy with your facial appearance, you likely dread first meetings and first impressions. You can’t concentrate on the conversation, because all you keep thinking is, “he’s staring at the hair; he’s not looking at my face.” You may be right, or you may be wrong. Regardless, you need to take action.
The way to do that is to take care of your unwanted facial hair by temporary or permanent removal, and fortunately, you have a good number of choices at your disposal.
Eyebrows
The simplest and least expensive option is tweezing, and you can do this at home. Tweezing will work best if the hair that you’re removing is limited to your eyebrows, where each individual hair is simply plucked out; the good thing about tweezing is that you pull out the root of the hair, and re-growth is generally slower.
Alternatively, you can wax it yourself, with a home waxing kit or wax strips. Sugaring is another option, though less reliable. You can get a very professional tweezing or waxing at a salon, and it’s still a fairly inexpensive procedure, usually less than $10. For a more lasting solution, you can also consider laser hair removal or electrolysis, which need to be done by a professional.
Never consider using a cream depilatory on your eyebrows; the chemicals are exceptionally dangerous and could result in blindness if they get into your eyes.
Upper Lip and Chin
While shaving is alright for men, it’s most definitely not appropriate for women; the hair does tend to grow back thicker and darker. Tweezing is a time consuming and painful option, though it you don’t have too much hair, it is doable. The preferred temporary option is waxing, and again, it can be done at home or at a salon. Results tend to be better when you’ve had a professional handle it. Another temporary alternative is a cream depilatory, made especially for facial hair, which is generally less harsh than one made for legs or other parts of the body.
For a more permanent solution for facial hair removal, you should consider laser hair removal or electrolysis; again, this should be done by a professional, and treatment time and number of sessions needed will vary by individual.
Whatever option you choose for your facial hair removal treatment, as long as you are happy with the results, you will find that you’re ready to go out and face the world.
